Mine Boulders for Rocks and Gold
Rocky biomes with unmined boulders, especially those showing gold-bearing seams.
- A Pickaxe.
- Inventory space for rocks, flint, and any gold collected.
- A route back to camp or storage.
A mining trip gathers rocks and flint and may also produce gold from suitable boulders, supporting camp construction and crafting.

Take a Pickaxe into rocky terrain, inspect boulders for gold-bearing seams, and mine them one at a time. Collect the materials that fall and keep track of which boulders remain for a later supply run. This is finite-site gathering: once the local boulders have been mined, the same route cannot produce more until you find another supply. Bring enough inventory space for the materials you want and return to camp before a full pack forces you to abandon useful finds.
Repeat on unmined boulders elsewhere or on remaining sites. Each mined boulder is depleted, so this is not a renewable farm at a cleared location.
Stop when you have enough materials for the current build or the nearby boulders are depleted. Switch to another rocky area when you need another haul.
