Collect Ferrystones in Battahl caves

Marked cave pickups in Battahl provide a finite way to add travel consumables while exploring the region.

PC / Global base-game routes; the Dark Arisen expansion is excluded from this guide set.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Darkbeasts’ Den, Digger’s Ruins, and Drabnir’s Grotto in Battahl; Dragonsbreath Tower is another named location in the region list.

Darkbeasts’ Den, Digger’s Ruins, and Drabnir’s Grotto are named Battahl locations to check for fixed Ferrystone pickups. Use the Ferrystone map markers to identify the relevant chest or ground item in each cave. This is an exploration collection route, not a guarantee that every cave or enemy will yield a stone.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Reach Battahl and gain access to the caves you intend to explore.
  • Bring a party equipped for cave encounters.
  • Use the Ferrystone map markers to distinguish the pickup location from general cave loot.
  1. Choose one of the named caves that you can safely reach, such as Digger’s Ruins or Drabnir’s Grotto.
  2. Enter the cave and advance through its branches, checking the marked Ferrystone location rather than assuming it is at the entrance.
  3. Open the marked chest or collect the ground pickup when you find it.
  4. Check your inventory before leaving so you know whether the pickup was collected.
  5. Continue to another named cave only if its marker remains uncollected.
  6. Use an active Portcrystal as the map-selected destination when spending an ordinary Ferrystone outdoors.

Farming tips

  • The map’s marked pickup is the dependable target; cave enemies are not guaranteed Ferrystone sources.
  • If a cave is too dangerous, use a nearer route or return after improving your party rather than forcing the full circuit.

Repeat, collect and use

Fixed pickups are limited and generally collected once. Once the marked locations are cleared, switch to other documented sources or rely on the reusable Eternal Ferrystone if obtained.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every Battahl cave contains a Ferrystone; verify a marked pickup before making a detour.
  • Expecting enemies to drop a stone every time; drops are not guaranteed.
  • Using an ordinary Ferrystone indoors; move outside before selecting the destination.

When to stop or switch

Stop visiting a cave after its marked pickup is collected. Continue only to a still-unlooted location that fits your route.
