Place portable Portcrystals near remote objectives
A placed Portcrystal turns a remote outdoor area into a destination you can revisit by Ferrystone.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Suitable outdoor ground near a remote objective you expect to revisit.
Portable Portcrystals are useful for objectives without a fixed travel point, such as a remote cave or a destination you expect to revisit. Place one at suitable outdoor ground, confirm it becomes an available destination, then travel back with a Ferrystone. Placement is limited by the game’s location rules, and you can retrieve a portable crystal later to reposition it.
Acquire a portable Portcrystal, including the Monster Culling reward in the current update if eligible.
Reach the objective or a nearby open outdoor area.
Carry a Ferrystone or Eternal Ferrystone for the return trip.
Identify a remote objective you expect to revisit, such as an exploration area or a resource route.
Travel there and find open ground outdoors near the destination.
Use the portable Portcrystal from inventory.
If placement is rejected, move to another suitable outdoor position and try again.
Confirm the destination appears on the map before leaving the area.
Later, use a Ferrystone outdoors and select the placed destination from the map.
Retrieve the portable crystal by interacting with it if you want to move it to another route.
Farming tips
You can have up to ten Portcrystals placed at once, so reserve slots for destinations that save meaningful return travel.
Do not confuse a Riftstone, which is used for pawns, with a Portcrystal travel destination.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable as a setup activity while you have portable Portcrystals and open placement capacity. Portable stones can be retrieved and relocated; fixed destinations cannot.
Common mistakes
Trying to place the stone indoors or in a restricted spot; move to valid outdoor ground.
Leaving before checking the map for the destination; confirm placement first.
Using the placement cap on places you will not revisit; reclaim and reposition a portable crystal when priorities change.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the objective appears as a travel destination or when the route is no longer worth a Portcrystal slot.
