Where to farm
Expeditions, on a Chaos map at the highest tier you can reliably complete.
Use repeatable Chaos Expeditions to replace weaker equipment and make measured progress through the tier ladder. Gear is useful only when you can survive the tier’s enemy mix, so treat each clear as both a reward run and a check that your defenses can handle the next step.
Complete the Campaign and unlock Chaos Expeditions.
Choose a tier available to your champion score.
Bring defenses and heroes suited to the tier’s listed enemies and mutators.
Open Expeditions and select a Chaos tier you can clear consistently.
Read the map’s enemy schedule and special threats before starting.
Equip your strongest usable gear and place defenses to cover each lane and air route.
During combat, respond to threats that bypass or disable your setup rather than abandoning all lanes.
Finish every wave and claim the victory chest.
Compare drops with your equipped items; equip useful upgrades and keep items you rely on for other builds.
When clears remain steady, try the next available tier and inspect its new threats.
Farming tips
Chaos Expeditions are the standard endgame mission route, with tiers supporting progression and loot.
A stable clear matters more than choosing the highest tier if failed runs cost you time and rewards.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat as long as the tier’s equipment and progression rewards are useful; each successful run gives another chest to collect and evaluate.
Common mistakes
Entering a new tier without preparing for its introduced enemies; read the schedule and adjust your defenses first.
Equipping every higher-level drop automatically; compare whether it actually improves your build and keep alternate gear when useful.
When to stop or switch
Move up when you can reliably clear the current tier and its drops no longer improve your loadout; switch to another activity if you need a specific shard or weapon instead.
