Glitterhelm Caverns is a substantial campaign route with completion rewards and a useful mix of gear and experience. Insane can improve the loot tier, but only if your defenses can finish reliably. Treat each clear as a gear comparison run: equip upgrades that support the next map, and sell the rest for mana.
Before you go Unlock Glitterhelm Caverns through campaign progression. Use a defense setup that covers the map’s lanes and protects every crystal. Bring a hero able to collect drops and repair defenses between waves. Select Glitterhelm Caverns in Campaign and choose Insane if it is a stable clear for your current defenses. During build phases, inspect the lanes and place your established defenses where they cover approaching enemies. Open available chests and collect useful mana and equipment before combat begins. Start the wave, watch for weak lanes, and repair or upgrade defenses during safe intervals. Collect valuable floor drops between waves; compare weapon and armor stats with each hero’s current gear. Finish the campaign mission and review the completion rewards and remaining loot. Return to the Tavern, keep upgrades, lock anything reserved for a build, and sell the surplus. Farming tips If Insane repeatedly threatens a crystal, lower the difficulty until you have stronger builders or defenses. Compare useful stats and upgrade potential, not just an item’s level or color. Repeat, collect and use Repeat the campaign clear while it produces upgrades or useful sale proceeds; each run offers a new set of drops, not a guaranteed specific item.
Common mistakes Raising difficulty after a failed clear: step down until the map is dependable. Selling items before checking hero and builder needs: compare equipment and lock planned pieces first. Ignoring floor loot between waves: collect promising pieces before starting the next combat phase. When to stop or switch Switch to a harder map or difficulty when you finish Insane consistently and the drops no longer improve your active heroes.
