WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Planets whose resource listings show the desired rare vein, such as Kimberlite, Fractal Silicon, or Spiniform.
Use the star map to find a planet that lists the specific rare vein you need. Build a powered mine at the deposit and arrange local or interstellar logistics to bring its output to a factory. The route depends on the ore and destination; no particular vein is guaranteed in a given cluster.
Interstellar station, vessels, and warpers if importing across star systems
Name the target rare ore based on the recipe or factory shortage you are addressing.
Inspect planet resource listings until you find a destination that shows that exact ore.
Travel to the planet and locate the vein deposit on the surface.
Place a powered Mining Machine so its coverage includes the deposit, then connect an output belt.
Send ore into a local supply station or route it to nearby processing.
Set up the matching demand at the receiving factory; use vessels and warpers for interstellar transfer when needed.
Check delivered stock and production use before building additional mining capacity.
Farming tips
Confirm the exact resource name in the planet listing; rare ores are not interchangeable.
Keep the receiving item slot and output belt filtered for the target material.
Repeat, collect and use
Mining repeats while the vein remains. Logistics can continue moving the ore as long as the source, destination, and route stay powered and supplied.
Common mistakes
Traveling to a planet based on assumptions about its resources; verify the target vein in the star map first.
Building an outpost without a working power and belt connection; verify ore reaches the local station.
Expecting planetary drones to serve another star system; use interstellar logistics for that route.
When to stop or switch
Stop expanding when the receiving factory has a stable supply for its intended recipe. Choose another listed deposit if the patch depletes or demand exceeds its output.
