Before you go

Identify the next Somber tier shown on your unique weapon’s reinforcement screen.
Reach a region appropriate to that tier and its associated cave or pickup.
Bring healing and a suitable weapon for any enemies guarding the route.

Check the weapon’s next upgrade requirement before leaving for a stone search.
Travel to an accessible region where that tier is available and locate its named cave or fixed pickup.
Explore side passages and visible item locations rather than assuming the main path holds every stone.
Defeat or bypass guards that prevent safe access to the item.
Collect the stone and confirm its tier in inventory.
Return to a smith and reinforce the unique armament if you have the required runes.
When the fixed supply is exhausted, locate and deliver the matching Bell Bearing for repeat purchases.

Unique weapons use one Somber Stone per upgrade tier; standard weapons follow a different material track.
Gather only the tier you need now, since later areas can expose higher tiers before your weapon is ready for them.

Regional pickups are finite. Explore for missed items, then use the matching Bell Bearing shop unlock for repeatable purchases of supported tiers.
