Tel Var from Imperial City Monster Packs

Earn Tel Var from Imperial City NPCs and chests, then exchange it with vendors while managing PvP loss risk.

PC / Global megaserver; English-language live game, Update 51 and Season Two content as of 2026-10-24.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Imperial City districts and sewers, accessed through the Alliance War menu.

Imperial City enemies and treasure chests award Tel Var Stones. Carrying a larger balance increases the monster-kill multiplier, but a player death can cost you stones. Convert the currency at vendors when your balance reaches a useful purchase threshold.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Imperial City access and a character capable of defeating its roaming NPC groups.
  • Inventory space for stones and other loot.
  • A plan for returning to safety before carrying more Tel Var than you are willing to risk.
  1. Enter Imperial City from the Alliance War menu and choose a district or sewer area.
  2. Defeat roaming NPC enemies and loot treasure chests you encounter.
  3. Collect the Tel Var awarded and watch your carried balance as it grows.
  4. If nearby player activity becomes dangerous, travel back to a safe base rather than extending the run.
  5. At the base, locate a Tel Var vendor and inspect available gear, consumables, or crafting materials.
  6. Spend stones on the item you planned for, or bank/safeguard your progress where the game allows.

Farming tips

  • Carried stones increase the monster-kill multiplier, but they also increase what you stand to lose on death.
  • Chests are another supported currency source, so include them when safe rather than fighting every group.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat district or sewer trips for more Tel Var. Currency from NPCs and chests is repeatable; any amount carried remains exposed to player-death loss until secured or spent.

Common mistakes

  • Staying out with a large balance: return to safety as your risk tolerance is reached.
  • Assuming NPC kills are risk-free: enemy players can kill you and take Tel Var.
  • Spending without a target: check vendor inventory first and accumulate toward a specific purchase.

When to stop or switch

Return to base when the amount at risk reaches your personal limit, or stop the route once you have enough Tel Var for the desired vendor purchase.
