Tin supports the bronze crafting tier and helps unlock stronger equipment and tools. Collecting it after reaching the Nomad Highlands makes it possible to prepare for that next metalworking stage.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Tin deposits in the Nomad Highlands and highland mines.
Tin is a regional resource, so the useful loop begins after you can safely travel into the Nomad Highlands. Find a current deposit or mine, gather ore with a pickaxe, then return to a base that can process it. Deposit locations can shift, so make decisions from the world you are playing.
Tin location from Maki’s February 2024 map reference. Match the player marker and nearby cave/spire landmarks; the map predates later world expansions, so verify the deposit in your current world.Map legend

How to farm
Before you go
A pickaxe.
Access to the Nomad Highlands.
Equipment and supplies suitable for the region's enemies and terrain.
Travel to the Nomad Highlands after unlocking access to the region.
Search visible highland rock and mine entrances for dark tin veins or a clearly identifiable deposit.
Check the approach for enemies and hazards before entering a mine passage.
Mine the exposed tin and collect the ore before moving deeper.
Continue only while your inventory and safe return route allow; mark useful locations on your map.
Carry the tin back to a base with a smelter and sort it for the bronze recipes you intend to make.
Farming tips
Check your current recipe panel before batching ore so the trip supports an actual crafting goal.
A map marker helps you revisit a useful mine without assuming its contents or approach remain unchanged.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat as needed when tin stock is insufficient for your next bronze or tool recipe. This is a regional gathering loop, not a fixed guaranteed yield.
Common mistakes
Using outdated deposit coordinates: 1.0 reorganized some deposits, so confirm veins in your current world.
Mining too far from a safe exit: reassess supplies and regional threats before extending the run.
Collecting tin without smelting capacity: bring it home and process it when the required station is available.
When to stop or switch
Stop once your tin reserve covers the current bronze-tier plan; switch to recipe-gated materials if tin is no longer the bottleneck.
