Where to farm
Battle > Spirit Altar > the open altar for the target hero's element.
Spirit Altar is the repeatable source for elemental awakening runes. Pick the altar matching the hero's element, then choose a difficulty that drops the rune tier you need and that your team can clear. Rune availability follows the altar's open-element schedule, so use the active altar shown in the client.
Unlock Spirit Altar by clearing Episode 1, stage 2-10.
Know the hero's element and the Greater or Epic Rune quantity needed.
Check that the matching altar is open in the current schedule.
Have a team that can clear the difficulty selected.
Open the hero's awakening screen and note the rune tier and element required.
Enter Spirit Altar and check which elemental altars are currently available.
Select the matching element, then choose a difficulty whose reward tier includes the needed runes.
If uncertain, inspect the difficulty reward preview before using Energy.
Clear the altar and collect the displayed rune drops.
Repeat at a stable difficulty until the inventory meets the awakening requirement.
Use the runes to awaken the target hero, then change altars or farm another tier only for a separate goal.
Farming tips
Hard difficulty and above can award Epic Runes; Normal and above can award Greater Runes, according to the item listings.
During a rune buff window, prioritize rune farming if it aligns with a hero build, but verify the active event in the client.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat while the matching altar is open and more runes are required. Element availability rotates; the farm is not continuously open for every element.
Common mistakes
Running an altar for the wrong element: match the hero's element before spending Energy.
Using a high difficulty that fails: choose the highest stable difficulty that includes the needed tier.
Farming Epic Runes for a Common Rune need: use the difficulty appropriate to the required tier.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the planned awakening's rune count is met; spend Energy on another open altar or progression goal.
