Where to farm
Battle > Adventure > Unrecorded History stages and their AP Exchange.
Unrecorded History lets you direct stage-clearing effort toward catalysts through its AP Exchange. The useful route is item-first: identify the catalyst, find a stage whose exchange lists it, then spend AP on that item. This avoids relying on an unplanned random drop to meet a specific upgrade need.
Clear Episode 1, stage 10-10 to unlock Unrecorded History.
Know the exact catalyst and quantity needed for a planned hero upgrade.
Have enough Energy to clear the chosen stage and earn AP.
Check that the target catalyst appears in that stage's AP Exchange.
Open the target hero's awakening or skill upgrade screen and note the catalyst name and required amount.
Find that catalyst's listed source and choose an Unrecorded History stage whose AP Exchange offers it.
Open the stage's AP Exchange before committing Energy and verify the item is available there.
Clear the stage repeatedly, collecting stage rewards and AP as you go.
Open the exchange and purchase the target catalyst with the accumulated AP.
Check your inventory against the upgrade requirement and repeat the same stage if you still need more.
Use the catalyst on the intended hero upgrade after confirming it is the bottleneck.
Farming tips
Catalyst sources differ by item; verify the exact stage exchange rather than assuming every catalyst appears in the same place.
Use selection chests or other available sources only after checking whether they can fill the same specific need.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat until you have the required catalyst stock. The AP farm is repeatable, while the exchange purchase is limited by the AP you earn and the displayed stock or rules.
Common mistakes
Farming a stage before checking its exchange: verify the catalyst is listed first.
Buying catalysts without a planned upgrade: prioritize heroes you intend to build.
Confusing a direct stage drop with AP Exchange stock: use the exchange route when you need a controlled purchase.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the planned upgrade's catalyst requirement is met; switch back to Hunt or another progression bottleneck.
