Combat Anomalies

C1–C3 wormhole combat sites

Repeatable combat and loot opportunities in wormhole space; the September update changed this site band, so verify the current site details and plan extraction before committing.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Combat anomalies in Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3 wormhole systems.

This guide covers combat anomalies in Class 1–3 wormhole space. The September Force Projection Revamped update changed this band of sites, so older assumptions about eligibility or rewards may no longer apply. Choose a named combat anomaly from the system’s overview, assess its displayed information, and decide whether your ship and exit plan make the run worthwhile. Wormhole connections can change, and recovered loot must be carried out through a connection or another route you have verified. Treat the site’s actual enemies and loot as the facts for that run; no single fit or payout applies across all C1–C3 sites. At safety, sort the recovered items for use or sale, then decide whether another anomaly is worth the exposure.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Combat ship and fit suited to the chosen anomaly’s current encounter.
  • Probe launcher and core probes for scanning signatures and connections.
  • Bookmarks for your entry connection and candidate exits.
  • Cargo space for the loot you intend to extract.
  1. Enter a C1–C3 system through a scanned connection and bookmark the entrance immediately.
  2. Check the system’s overview for named combat anomalies; use probes to identify relevant signatures where needed.
  3. Read the selected site’s displayed information and compare it with your ship’s tank and damage capability.
  4. Launch probes and scan for wormhole connections; bookmark a usable exit before starting combat.
  5. Check directional scan and nearby activity, then warp to the anomaly if its risk fits your plan.
  6. Engage the site’s NPCs, watching incoming damage and local player activity; withdraw if either exceeds your limits.
  7. Collect the loot the encounter actually makes available, then check your bookmarks and scan connections again.
  8. Take the haul out through a verified route, sort it for use or sale, and reassess before running another site.

Farming tips

  • Do not infer a site’s difficulty or payout from its class alone; use the selected anomaly’s details and observed encounter.
  • Recheck connections before hauling. A bookmarked wormhole is a lead, not a permanent exit.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat while suitable C1–C3 combat anomalies and a viable exit are available. Site availability and loot vary; no fixed yield is established.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming all sites in a class have the same encounter: assess the named site before warping in.
  • Treating the entrance as a guaranteed return route: scan connections again before hauling.
  • Continuing after damage or player activity exceeds your limits: disengage and secure what you have recovered.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the encounter exceeds your fit, nearby threats make extraction unsafe, or you cannot identify a workable exit. Secure the ship and recovered loot before choosing another anomaly.
