Systems shown as participating in an active Pirate Insurgency in the in-game Insurgency information.
Pirate Insurgencies are a system-wide contest: pirate forces seek to spread corruption, while opposing forces can push back suppression. A practical combat route is to enter an active insurgency system, locate an eligible combat site, and fight its NPC defenders to contribute to the system’s live state. The September Force Projection Revamped update changed Insurgency activity, so check the current in-game Insurgency display for participating systems and active conditions before setting a route. This is contested space: other pilots may be pursuing the same sites or hunting you. Before undocking, choose a ship you can afford to lose and plan how to extract any loot. Track the live system status after each run, secure the rewards or loot actually presented, and repeat only while the activity and route remain worthwhile.
Combat ship and fit appropriate to the selected site’s current encounter.
Access to the Insurgency information panel to identify active systems and status.
Travel and extraction plan that accounts for system security and player traffic.
Cargo space for loot you intend to recover.
Open the in-game Insurgency information and identify a currently active system.
