Before you go
- Combat ship and fit appropriate to the selected site’s current encounter.
- Access to the Insurgency information panel to identify active systems and status.
- Travel and extraction plan that accounts for system security and player traffic.
- Cargo space for loot you intend to recover.
Farming steps
- Open the in-game Insurgency information and identify a currently active system.
- Review its live corruption or suppression state and choose an available combat site that suits your ship.
- Check the route, system security, and nearby activity; decide where to take any recovered loot.
- Travel to the selected system and use local and directional scan before warping to a site.
- Engage the site’s NPC defenders and complete the encounter’s combat objective to contribute to the insurgency state.
- Monitor damage and player activity throughout the fight; withdraw if the risk exceeds your plan.
- Collect any loot or reward the completed site actually provides, then extract to a safer location.
- Review the live system state and the recovered items before selecting another site or leaving the area.
- Use the Insurgency display to verify the system is active; status and availability can change while you travel.
- Contribution to a system contest does not guarantee a particular personal payout; assess the rewards actually shown.

When to stop or switch
Stop when the insurgency ends, suitable sites are unavailable, your ship or extraction route is at risk, or the recovered value no longer justifies another run.
