WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Yak T’el, X:36, Y:34, at the level 100 Botanist unspoiled node during its Eorzean-time window. Dawntrail unspoiled nodes last two Eorzean hours.
Rarefied Dark Mahogany Log is a level 100 Botanist target in Yak T’el. Decide whether the run is for an appraiser turn-in or crafting stock before you travel: submitted collectables are spent, while logs reserved for a recipe must stay in your inventory. Because the node is available only during its Eorzean-time window, checking its schedule and the current appraiser list is part of the route.
Yak T’el Dawntrail collectable-node locations, with in-game X/Y axes and the source clock’s Eorzean-time windows. Numbered markers identify gathering-node centers; nearby active nodes may appear as a cluster.
GET STARTED
How to farm
Before you go
Level 100 Botanist and access to Yak T’el.
Collectable gathering unlocked and gear adequate for the node.
Be on your home World; timed nodes are unavailable during World Visit or Data Center Travel.
Find the log in the Gathering Log and note its Eorzean-time window; set an in-game alarm if useful.
If farming scrips, check whether the Collectable Appraiser currently accepts the log. Otherwise, confirm a recipe need and quantity.
Travel to Yak T’el before the window and use Truth of Forests if it is not automatic for your level.
Find the unspoiled node and select Rarefied Dark Mahogany Log from its entries.
Use collectable actions, checking predicted collectability before spending additional GP.
Gather enough for your chosen turn-in tier or recipe quantity.
Submit only the accepted turn-in stock; keep the crafting quantity for its planned use.
Farming tips
Rarefied Sweet Kukuru Bean is another listed target in the area; verify the item name before gathering.
Use Eorzean time from the in-game clock rather than your local clock.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat at later node windows while the log is useful or currently accepted for turn-ins. Appraiser listings may change.
Common mistakes
Arriving by Earth-time estimate; use the Gathering Log’s Eorzean-time window.
Spending GP without watching predicted collectability; stop once you reach the tier you need.
Submitting logs reserved for a recipe; divide the haul by purpose before appraisal.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the required turn-in amount or recipe stock is met. If the appraiser is not accepting the log, switch to a currently accepted collectable for scrips.
