WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Retainer Venture menu at a summoning bell; eligible targets and field ventures depend on the selected material and retainer class.
A targeted retainer venture can bring back a specific gathered material you have discovered, making this a background supply route rather than an immediate node farm. Select an eligible material in the venture menu, dispatch a matching gathering retainer, then retrieve and use the return after it completes. Eligibility and expected return depend on the retainer and target. Check the menu before building a recipe plan around a particular item or quantity.
Before you go A retainer assigned Botanist or Miner with suitable class level and gear. The target material discovered by gathering it yourself, where required by the menu. Venture tokens and inventory space for returned items. Gather the material yourself and check whether it appears in the retainer’s targeted venture list. At a summoning bell, open Retainer Ventures and choose the matching gathering retainer. Select the exact material venture and review its displayed requirements and expected return. Dispatch the retainer and continue other play while it is away. Return to a summoning bell after completion and retrieve the items. Compare the return with your recipe or stock goal. Use the material in the planned recipe or dispatch again if the venture remains available and stock is short. Farming tips The retainer menu is the live eligibility check; class, level, gear, or prior discovery can affect the list. Use displayed venture details rather than assuming a fixed yield. Repeat, collect and use Repeat when you have venture tokens and an eligible target remains useful. Each dispatch takes time and the displayed return is target-dependent.
Common mistakes Expecting a target before unlocking it; gather it yourself and inspect the venture list. Sending the wrong retainer class; match Botanist or Miner to the material venture. Planning exact recipe quantities around an assumed return; check the amount actually retrieved. When to stop or switch Stop when the retainer has supplied the needed quantity or the ingredient no longer serves a plan; switch it to another useful target.
