Farming steps
- Choose a deposit that supplies a resource your factory currently needs.
- Clear the exact face where the miner must attach and leave room for its output.
- Place the miner and adjust it until the placement preview confirms a valid match.
- Connect the miner to the power network appropriate for that equipment.
- Build a short conveyor from the outlet into a dedicated chest or buffer.
- Run the setup and observe whether material reaches the buffer without interruption.
- Extend the belt to processing only after the short test confirms a stable output.
- Test one miner at a time so a placement or power problem has fewer possible causes.
- Keep the buffer visible and accessible; it shows whether mining or downstream processing is limiting the line.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the setup at another matching deposit when demand requires additional extraction. Each miner needs its own valid placement, power, and usable output route.
Common mistakes
- Using a miner that does not match the deposit or face prevents a working setup; confirm the placement preview before building around it.
