Technology Points

Before you go
- Access to the Technology menu.
- A target recipe or station unlock to pursue.
- Materials or activities that generate the required point type.
- Enough unspent points for the displayed cost.
Farming steps
- Open the Technology menu and select the crop, station, or production recipe you want next.
- Read its displayed point type and cost before choosing an activity.
- For Farming and Nature unlocks, use related farming, nature, vineyard, or fishing activities as appropriate.
- Gather, craft, farm, or research through actions associated with the point type you need.
- Return to the menu and confirm the current balance and recipe cost.
- Spend the required points to unlock the selected recipe.
- Use the new plot or workstation and check its recipe list for the material chain that follows.
- Pick a concrete unlock first; broad point collection can leave you short of the specific color you need.
- Recheck costs in the menu because the displayed requirement is the reliable planning reference.
Repeat, collect and use
Point earning is repeatable through applicable activities; each technology unlock is generally a one-time spend.
Common mistakes
- Collecting the wrong point type: inspect the target recipe first.
- Spending points on unrelated unlocks before a progression goal: keep the chosen target in view.
- Assuming a station recipe is unlocked with a branch alone: unlock the specific recipe displayed.
When to stop or switch
Stop farming points when the chosen unlock is purchased; switch to gathering its ingredients or using the newly opened station.
