Before you go
- Breaking Dead DLC enabled.
- Progress far enough in its quest and technology path to unlock Zombie Farming.
- A zombie worker and the farm station.
- Seeds and a clear storage destination for the output.
Farming steps
- Progress through Breaking Dead until zombie-workstation technology becomes available.
- Unlock Zombie Farming in the Technology menu.
- Build the Zombie Farm at the Kitchen Garden using its displayed materials.
- Open the station and select the crop task it supports.
- Provide seeds or other inputs requested by the station.
- Set the production task and storage destination before starting the worker.
- Start the worker, then inspect the station and destination storage to confirm output delivery.
- Check stock before assigning a crop so the station has the seeds it needs.
- Keep the destination accessible and inspect output delivery when first setting up the task.
Repeat, collect and use
Automation can continue while the worker, station, inputs, and storage destination support the selected task; unlocking the DLC technology is a one-time progression step.
Common mistakes
- Trying this in a base-game-only setup: Breaking Dead is required.
- Starting without seeds or a selected task: configure the station before assigning work.
- Assuming goods were delivered: check both station output and destination storage.
When to stop or switch
Pause the worker when you have enough of the selected crop or need its seeds or storage for another production task.
