WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Berry nodes beneath the Hedge branches, including the Hedge near the Apricop and Billy Hog Bites.
Berry chunks are gathered from berry nodes beneath the Hedge and crafted into Berry Leather. Bring the right axe before making the climb: the nodes need a Tier II chopping tool. Collect only as much as your current recipes call for, since the Hedge trip takes more effort than gathering common materials near home.
Before you go Insect Axe or another Tier II-or-better chopping tool. A clear inventory slot for chunks. Food, water, and healing for the Hedge climb and return. Start at the Hedge ascent and climb the branches toward the berry-bearing sections. Look below the branches for hanging berry nodes; approach a node from a stable branch or safe ground position. Chop the node with the Insect Axe or a higher-tier axe. Pick up the Berry Chunks that fall before moving on. Return to a Workbench and craft Berry Leather from the chunks. Use the leather for the equipment or building recipe you are working toward. Farming tips Check the recipe you want first so you can stop once you have enough chunks. Keep the axe equipped while traversing the Hedge; the trip is wasted if you reach a node without a chopping tool. Repeat, collect and use Repeat the Hedge sweep when you need more chunks; this is a resource-node farm, not a guaranteed fixed yield per trip.
Common mistakes Bringing a Pebblet Axe: it cannot harvest the berry nodes. Take an Insect Axe or better. Leaving chunks on the ground: look around the node after chopping and collect every piece you intend to keep. Climbing without checking your recipe needs: craft leather at the Workbench and avoid carrying excess chunks on a long route. When to stop or switch Stop when your Workbench recipes have the Berry Leather they need; switch to a nearer resource farm if you only need common building materials.
