Mushroom Garden Harvest for Building Supply

A Garden Patch provides a repeatable way to grow mushroom material at home, giving builders another source of input for the Grinder and Oven production chain.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

A Garden Patch beside your home, with a Grinder and Oven available for processing harvested mushrooms.

Use a Garden Patch to grow mushroom material, then harvest it and process the output into Mushroom Slurry and Mushroom Bricks if those recipes and stations are available. This is a cultivation loop: it reduces reliance on collecting every mushroom input from the yard, but it still depends on planting material and the patch’s growth. Fertilizer is optional and can affect growth and yield.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A built Garden Patch.
  • Mushroom material to plant in the patch.
  • Optional fertilizer if you want its growth or yield effect.
  • A Grinder and Oven with the relevant slurry and brick recipes available to process the harvest.
  1. Choose a Garden Patch beside your base so planting, harvesting, and moving the crop to production stations are convenient.
  2. Place mushroom material into the patch as the planted crop.
  3. Add fertilizer only if you have it and want to use its effect on growth or yield.
  4. Allow the planted crop to grow; do other yard tasks while it develops rather than treating it as an immediate harvest.
  5. Return to the patch and collect the grown mushroom output.
  6. If making building stock, put the harvested material into the Grinder and collect Mushroom Slurry.
  7. Move the slurry to the Oven, bake it into Mushroom Bricks, and store or use the bricks for building.

Farming tips

  • Keep some harvested mushrooms aside as planting input so you can restart the crop after using the rest.
  • Check that both processing recipes are available before planning the crop around brick production.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat by replanting available mushroom material and harvesting the patch again after growth. Output depends on the crop and whether fertilizer is used; the patch is not an instant or guaranteed fixed-yield source.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting an immediate harvest: the patch grows its crop over time, so plan around the wait.
  • Using every mushroom as processing input: reserve planting material if you want to continue cultivation.
  • Treating fertilizer as mandatory: it is optional, though it affects growth or yield.

When to stop or switch

Stop harvesting for bricks when your build has enough stored material; keep a planting portion if you want to maintain the garden supply.
