Where to farm
Wretched Broker at the Crossroads; use the Bones exchange when Nightmare is available.
When an Aspect upgrade calls for Nightmare, check the Wretched Broker at the Crossroads. Nightmare is listed among materials bought with Bones rather than gathered from ordinary biome nodes. Some later exchange offers have progression requirements, so confirm availability in the current shop instead of assuming it appears at every stage. Purchase the amount for a selected Aspect, then return to the upgrade interface and apply it when all other materials are ready.
Bring Bones for the amount shown in the current exchange.
Select an Aspect upgrade that requires Nightmare.
Check the Broker’s current listing and any progression condition.
Inspect the Aspect upgrade menu and identify a specific Nightmare requirement.
Go to the Wretched Broker at the Crossroads.
Open the exchange list and look for Nightmare.
Confirm the displayed cost and availability before purchasing.
If it is locked or absent, continue the indicated progression and revisit the exchange on a later night.
Buy the needed amount when available, then return to the Aspect upgrade menu.
Spend the Nightmare on the selected upgrade once its other requirements are met.
Farming tips
Do not spend runs searching for a Nightmare room node; the Broker is the documented purchase route.
Plan the Bones expense around the Aspect you actually intend to upgrade.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the Broker check for each Nightmare-requiring Aspect upgrade. The shop refreshes by night and later offers can depend on progression. Buy and spend against a specific upgrade; there is no field-gathering loop for this material.
