Before you go
- Identify the exact Heroic rune needed for your build.
- Unlock the area, activity, and difficulty listed for that rune.
- Set a filter for the rune, usable rune alternatives, and any required runeword base.
Farming steps
- Search the Adventure Journal for the exact Heroic rune name.
- Confirm that the entry or current Rune Farming route identifies Legion enemies as a source.
- Travel to the named Legion activity and choose a difficulty you can clear consistently.
- Set the filter to show the target rune and the matching base requirements for its intended use.
- Clear Legion packs, collecting visible runes and relevant bases as you advance.
- After each run, check whether the rune or a suitable substitute improves the build.
- Compare a consistent sample of runs, including deaths, travel, and sorting time.
- A filter should retain the exact base even if its rarity is low when the socket layout is correct.
- If the entry does not name Legion, switch to the source it does name rather than testing unrelated packs.
Repeat, collect and use
