Where to farm
The Legion enemy activity or area named in the current Rune Farming route for the selected Heroic rune.
Treat Legion enemies as a target only when the particular Heroic rune’s current source entry supports that route. Rune sourcing can vary by item, so identify the exact rune first, then clear the matching Legion activity and preserve a suitable base if the build requires one.
Identify the exact Heroic rune needed for your build.
Unlock the area, activity, and difficulty listed for that rune.
Set a filter for the rune, usable rune alternatives, and any required runeword base.
Search the Adventure Journal for the exact Heroic rune name.
Confirm that the entry or current Rune Farming route identifies Legion enemies as a source.
Travel to the named Legion activity and choose a difficulty you can clear consistently.
Set the filter to show the target rune and the matching base requirements for its intended use.
Clear Legion packs, collecting visible runes and relevant bases as you advance.
After each run, check whether the rune or a suitable substitute improves the build.
Compare a consistent sample of runs, including deaths, travel, and sorting time.
Farming tips
A filter should retain the exact base even if its rarity is low when the socket layout is correct.
