Interastral Peace Guide > Survival Index > Stagnant Shadow > Shape of Deepsheaf.

Stagnant Shadows provide character Ascension materials, and Shape of Deepsheaf is the recorded source of Invasive Clot for Phainon. The practical target is the amount shown for the next Ascension threshold minus your current inventory. A victory alone does not add the boss material: after defeating the Shadow, spend Trailblaze Power at the reward prompt and verify the new count on Phainon’s Ascension screen.

How to farm

Before you go

Unlock Shape of Deepsheaf and have Trailblaze Power for reward claims.
Have a planned Phainon Ascension that requires Invasive Clot.

Open Phainon’s character screen and check the next Ascension requirement.
Subtract your current Invasive Clot inventory from that requirement.
Open the Survival Index and select Stagnant Shadow, then Shape of Deepsheaf.
Review the encounter details and choose a team that can defeat it reliably.
Defeat the Shadow and spend Trailblaze Power to claim the reward.
Return to Phainon’s Ascension screen and check whether the requirement is met.
Repeat the claimed boss fight only if the planned Ascension still needs more.

Farming tips

Confirm the named Shadow and reward preview before entering; materials belong to specific encounters.
Track the next Ascension threshold instead of farming an arbitrary reserve.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable with Trailblaze Power; the recorded rules do not give Stagnant Shadow claims a weekly limit.

Common mistakes

Fighting a different Shadow: confirm Shape of Deepsheaf when Invasive Clot is the target.
Confusing Ascension and Trace costs: check the appropriate character upgrade screen before farming.
