Dukes and New Land

Turn resource sales into practical upgrades or a new claim, and weigh a plot’s water and access before moving your mining setup.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Town resource buyers and the claim-purchase area; inspect the prospective plot before moving machines.

Dukes are earned by selling collected resources, and new land gives you another place to build a mine. Treat a purchase as a response to a specific need: more room, a better route for equipment, or a claim that fits your intended operation. Check the site before relocating so the cost of a new plot does not leave you without the tools to work it.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Sellable ore or gems.
  • Enough funds for the intended purchase and any equipment you still need.
  • A plan for water access, pit entry, and carrying output to town.
  1. Sort your collected resources and take them to the appropriate town buyer.
  2. Review your current bottleneck: tool tier, processing capacity, plot space, or water access.
  3. Compare the available claim’s entry route and water options with your intended setup.
  4. Buy the plot only when its layout solves a clear problem for your mine.
  5. Before moving machinery, identify where the intake, drill, harvester, belts, and collection bins can fit.
  6. Retain enough funds and tools to make the new site operational, then move and test one part of the setup at a time.

Farming tips

  • A larger plot is useful only if you can work its dirt and supply the machinery you intend to use.
  • Keep your current production line running until the replacement site is ready to process output.

Repeat, collect and use

Resource selling is repeatable as long as you collect more ore or gems. Claim purchases are limited by the plots available and your funds; buy another plot only when you have a reason to relocate or expand.

Common mistakes

  • Spending all available funds on land: reserve money for tools or machines needed to work it.
  • Moving equipment before checking the new water route: inspect supply and access first.
  • Assuming DLC parcels are required for core mining: the base game claims support the core mining and automation loop.

When to stop or switch

Stop expanding once the current claim has enough workable space and water for your planned operation; invest in processing or storage if those are the real constraints.
