Before you go
- Shovel, pan or bucket, and brush.
- Access to water for rinsing.
- A bucket or other way to carry the cleaned finds.
Farming steps
- Choose an accessible patch of claim dirt near the water route.
- Use the shovel to place a manageable amount of dirt into the pan.
- Rinse the pan at the nearby water until the dirt is washed away.
- Brush the remaining material and collect ore and gems into a bucket.
- Repeat until you have a batch worth carrying, keeping valuable pieces from spilling.
- Take the batch to the matching town buyer and use the proceeds for the next tool or automation part.
- Work close to water to avoid carrying a loaded pan across the plot.
- Buy one upgrade that addresses your immediate bottleneck before spending the whole sale.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the dig, wash, brush, and town-sale cycle whenever you need early funds. It is an ongoing manual farm while accessible dirt remains, rather than a one-time reward.
Common mistakes
- Taking oversized loads that spill during washing or carrying: use smaller batches.
- Leaving valuable pieces in the wash area: inspect and collect them before moving on.
- Buying equipment without checking its use at your claim: prioritize a component you can connect and operate.
When to stop or switch
Move to a drill and harvester when repeated hand runs are no longer an efficient way to fund progress, or relocate only after checking the new plot’s water and access.
