Before you go
- Access to the Prometheus map and its relevant region.
- Pickaxe and supplies suited to the area's conditions.
- A light source, repair materials, food, and water.
Farming steps
- Write down the ore needed for your next crafting or technology goal.
- Check which Prometheus biome has that ore before choosing a travel destination.
- Travel to rocky outcrops or mountain sides within that biome and locate a cave.
- Enter carefully, prepare for cave creatures, and inspect the walls for the target deposit.
- Mine the needed ore and avoid filling your inventory with unrelated material.
- Return to a suitable base and refine or store the haul for the planned recipe.
- Use the ore requirement to select the biome before travel; do not choose a cave first and hope it contains the target.
- Bring the equipment needed for the region as well as the mining tools; the route crosses map terrain, not just cave interiors.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat whenever you need more of a regional ore. The method applies to Prometheus; do not assume its biome pattern is shared by other maps.
Common mistakes
- Searching caves without checking the regional distribution; choose a biome known to contain the target ore.
