- Create a dedicated storage space for spoiled plant and meat waste.
- Move suitable waste into the Composter rather than leaving it mixed with meals and fresh harvests.
- Use the station's available processing interaction to convert the waste into fertilizer inputs.
- Collect the processed fertilizer and keep it separate from food storage.
- Carry fertilizer to the Crop Plots that need it and apply it as part of their growing setup.
- Continue routing future suitable waste back to the Composter.
- Separate edible food from spoilage as soon as you sort inventory; this keeps the compost supply organized.
- Bring fertilizer to plots deliberately and check their status so you know whether more input is useful.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat while suitable waste is available and the Composter can process it. The loop depends on generating compostable waste; fertilizer is not produced without inputs.
