WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Depths of Greed, entered from Moonshadow Vale through its dungeon NPC using a Yohara Entry or Yohara Entry (B).

Black Diamond Drills are a targeted Depths of Greed resource for unlocking sockets on older boots. This gives open-dungeon runs a clear gear goal alongside their ordinary experience, Yang, and item rewards. The drill is a possible loot target, not a guaranteed result from each enemy or clear, so keep the route focused on the dungeon and treat other useful drops as extra value. Before farming, check which boots you intend to improve and whether you still need a drill; stop once the socket work is done.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Reach Moonshadow Vale and carry a Yohara Entry or Yohara Entry (B).
  • Have older boots you want to socket, if socketing is the immediate goal.
  • Prepare to handle the stronger monsters on the lower section before choosing that route.
  1. Check your boots and decide whether adding sockets is still useful for your build.
  2. Enter the Depths of Greed from Moonshadow Vale using the required entry item.
  3. Clear monsters your character can handle while checking drops for Black Diamond Drills.
  4. At the steep descent halfway through, move to the lower level only if you can manage its stronger monsters.
  5. Collect other useful materials, Yang, and experience during the search rather than discarding incidental gains.
  6. When you obtain a drill, use it for the boot socket process shown in game, then reassess your remaining need.
  7. Return to the starting point and use the teleport NPC to leave when the run is over.

Farming tips

  • Set aside drills for the specific older boots you intend to socket so they do not get spent without a gear plan.
  • Treat the lower section as a risk and reward choice: its monsters are stronger, so use it only when your character can clear them reliably.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable while you have dungeon entry items and still need drills. The drill is a possible loot result, not a guaranteed drop per run.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting every run to produce a drill; keep the farm open ended and collect useful secondary drops.
  • Descending before your character can handle stronger monsters; farm the accessible section or improve your setup first.
  • Farming without a boot target; identify which boots need sockets before spending time on the item.

When to stop or switch

Stop targeting drills once your planned boot socket work is complete or the resulting boots no longer improve your current setup.
