Portia River, Bassanio Falls, Western Beach, and Eufaula Desert Oasis north of Ingall’s Mine after The Portia Bridge is complete.
Before you go
- Craft a Beginner Fishing Rod and bring bait.
- Complete The Portia Bridge mission before traveling to the desert oasis.
- Leave inventory room for fish.
Farming steps
- Choose an accessible fishing spot based on the fish you want to pursue.
- Travel to Portia River or Bassanio Falls for early fishing, or Western Beach when its location suits your target.
- Use the rod and bait at the water and collect each catch.
- After the bridge is complete, travel north of Ingall’s Mine to Eufaula Desert Oasis.
- At the oasis, fish for its pool, which includes Gladiator Fish, Golden Salmon, and Wise Fish.
- Sort the catch and keep fish needed for collection or current tasks; sell ordinary surplus when prices suit.
- Use the named spot information to pick a location; fishing pools are not interchangeable.
- Check current market prices in game before selling a large batch.
Repeat, collect and use
Fishing can be repeated at accessible spots; oasis access is progression-gated, and individual catches are not guaranteed.
Common mistakes
- Traveling to the oasis before the bridge mission is complete wastes the trip; unlock the route first.
- Assuming a fish appears at every spot leads to wasted attempts; target a species at its listed pool.
- Selling every valuable catch can undermine collection needs; reserve notable fish first.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have the fish needed for the current task or collection goal, then switch to another spot or workshop activity.
