Before you go
- Obtain a planter box and the relevant seed.
- Clear yard space and have water available.
- Collect fertilizer if you plan to use it.
Farming steps
- Place the planter box on cleared ground in the Workshop yard.
- Interact with the box and choose a crop seed suited to your current need.
- Water the planted crop and check the status shown by the planter.
- Apply fertilizer when available and useful for that crop.
- Recheck the crop during ordinary Workshop visits, replenishing the inputs its status calls for.
- Harvest when mature, then store the amount needed for commissions or other uses before selling surplus.
- Start with a crop whose output has a known use instead of planting every seed at once.
- Read the seed and planter information because crop requirements and timings are crop-specific.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat for additional harvests by planting again; each cycle depends on the selected seed and its growth requirements.
Common mistakes
- Planting without water available can complicate care; prepare water before starting.
- Assuming all crops share a schedule is incorrect; use the crop-specific status and information.
- Selling a full harvest before checking commissions or recipes may force another growing cycle; reserve needed output.
When to stop or switch
