Before you go
- Weekly access pass for an available Abandoned Ruin.
- Pickaxe and Relic Scanner for exploring the ruin.
- Data Discs in inventory when visiting the Research Center.
Farming steps
- Enter an accessible ruin and scan the floor for relic targets while mining useful ore patches.
- Inspect finds and collect any Data Discs encountered during the exploration.
- Keep discs separate from relic fragments and ordinary ore in your storage.
- Visit the Research Center and review the available research choices and disc requirements.
- Choose a plan that supports your next workshop need, then submit the required discs.
- Return to the Workshop when the research is complete and use the unlocked plan through its normal crafting route.
- Check research options before spending discs so the selected unlock matches your production plans.
- Collect discs during a run already planned for ore or relics to make better use of ruin access.
Repeat, collect and use
Disc recovery can be repeated in later ruin visits, while each research selection consumes discs and is a limited unlock rather than a farmable output.
Common mistakes
- Using discs as ordinary sellable loot can delay research; reserve them for plans first.
- Expecting one particular disc result from a ruin visit is unsupported; collect what appears.
- Choosing research without checking its workshop relevance may leave the immediate bottleneck unchanged; compare options first.
When to stop or switch
Stop spending discs once the plan needed for current production is unlocked; save later discs for other research choices.
