- Planting Mode and materials for Straw Grid or Biocrust.
- An open planting area large enough for the tree’s displayed footprint.
- Water for crop care.
Farming steps
- Acquire a Coffee Tea Tree seed and keep it in inventory until the plot is ready.
- Clear an area in the Workshop yard and enter Planting Mode.
- Prepare the soil using Straw Grid or Biocrust across the space the seed requires.
- Select the Coffee Tea Tree seed and confirm its footprint before placing it.
- Plant it, then water it through the planting controls.
- Keep the surrounding tiles clear and check crop progress during routine yard visits.
- Harvest the tree’s product when the game marks it ready, then store it for a recipe or food use.
- Plant early when you can spare the yard space, since this is intended as a long-term crop.
- Do not promise yourself a replacement tree until you have another seed; harvestable products and seeds are separate.
Repeat, collect and use
Harvest the planted tree when ready. Replanting is repeatable only when another seed is available; this is not a rapid daily crop loop.
Common mistakes
- Using a small single-tile plot may prevent placement; check the footprint and clear adequate space.
- Neglecting water while the tree grows undermines crop care; include it in regular farm checks.
- Expecting an immediate harvest or an automatic replacement seed can leave your crop plan short; use the in-game progress and seed stock.
When to stop or switch
Keep the tree while its products are useful; harvest and switch the plot only if you need that space for a higher-priority crop.
