Before you go
- Access to the biomes you plan to explore.
- Inventory space for seeds and gathered materials.
- Farmland at the settlement for planting.
Farming steps
- Choose an explored biome you are already equipped to visit.
- Check natural plants and accessible treasure areas for seeds as you travel.
- Collect unfamiliar seeds and record their origin to help keep varieties organized.
- Return to the settlement and plant each seed type in Farmland.
- Let each crop mature and collect its produce.
- Store a portion of any seed return to preserve the variety for future planting.
- Use the harvest in available cooking or crafting recipes, and expand only useful plots.
- Bring seeds home even when you do not yet know their value; a small labeled reserve preserves options.
- Combine seed gathering with a planned biome trip instead of traveling solely on an unsupported expectation.
Repeat, collect and use
Seed discovery is an exploration activity with variable finds; established crops can be replanted when seed stock permits.
Common mistakes
- Assuming a particular treasure room guarantees a seed: search as part of a broader route and treat finds as variable.
- Mixing unknown seeds together: keep types distinct until you know their crop.
- Planting the entire stock immediately: retain seeds for later expansion.
