These cave routes provide biome-specific later ores for crafting progression.

Swamp and Desert Caves
Swamp Caves and Deep Swamp; Deep Desert Caves for Ancient Fossil Ore.
Before you go
- Access to the target biome and cave depth.
- A Pickaxe for the relevant ore-bearing rocks.
- Combat equipment, food and inventory space.
Farming steps
- Check your crafting goal and write down whether you need Ivy, Mycelium or Ancient Fossil Ore.
- Travel to the matching region: Swamp Caves for Ivy, Deep Swamp for Mycelium, or Deep Desert Caves for Ancient Fossil.
- Explore the cave corridors while clearing threats near the route.
- Mine exposed veins of the target ore with your Pickaxe.
- Inspect nearby branches for more target rocks and collect useful Stone as space allows.
- Return to the settlement before supplies or health are depleted.
- Smelt the ore into bars and use them for the selected equipment or crafting recipe.
- Keep the target region matched to the ore; a Swamp trip does not substitute for Deep Swamp when seeking Mycelium.
- Process one ore goal at a time to avoid hauling unrelated materials.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the relevant cave route for additional ore; individual cave yields are variable.
Common mistakes
- Searching the wrong depth: go to Deep Swamp for Mycelium rather than stopping in Swamp Caves.
- Expecting Ancient Fossil in Swamp: seek it in Deep Desert Caves.
- Continuing with low supplies: return and restock before pushing deeper.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the smelted amount covers your chosen recipe, then switch to another region only if a different ore is needed.
