Where to farm

Open Activity Finder and enter Catacombs. After extracting, find the Catacombs vendor near the Inn in Tularest Abbey and review the current Sterling purchases.

Sterlings are the repeatable Catacombs currency found as you explore, and the run only turns them into dependable progress when someone extracts safely. This route is for players who want to convert manageable runs into cache purchases without pushing every attempt to its limit. Catacombs is a randomized activity for one to three players, so the room order and amount collected vary.

How to farm

Before you go

  • Level 70 is recommended for this endgame activity.
  • Enter solo or with up to two other players; agree on when the group will extract.
  • Bring a combat setup that can handle escalating enemies and leave room in inventory for rewards.
  1. Queue for Catacombs through Activity Finder and begin exploring the generated rooms.
  2. Collect Sterlings as they appear, and clear enemies that block a useful route or reward room.
  3. Check the room map for boss skulls, keys, and buffs; take useful buffs when the path makes sense.
  4. Watch the group’s health, revives, and run pressure as difficulty rises.
  5. When the Sterling haul is worth protecting, choose an available exit rather than adding risk.
  6. Have at least one party member complete the safe extraction, then return to Tularest Abbey.
  7. Speak with the Catacombs vendor and spend the secured currency on a cache or other current Sterling reward.

Farming tips

  • Treat a displayed Sterling total as at risk until extraction succeeds; the safe-exit decision is part of the farm.
  • Agree on a target purchase before queuing so the party can compare progress with a concrete goal.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable while Catacombs is available. Each run produces a variable amount, and unextracted currency is not a reliable banked total.

Common mistakes

  • Continuing rooms after the group is close to defeat: extract while someone can still reach safety.
  • Assuming a failed attempt secures all Sterlings: budget only the amount retained after a successful extraction.
  • Spending at random: check the vendor and choose a target before committing runs.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have enough secured Sterlings for the cache or item you wanted, or switch to a safer activity if your group cannot consistently extract.
