Where to farm
The item context action in your inventory, available while carrying extractable items.
Review inventory against upcoming recipes, then extract only what remains surplus. This turns duplicate or obsolete stock into currency without undermining the materials needed for your next crafting batch.
Materials, refined goods, tools, or consumables the game allows you to extract.
A clear list of items reserved for current crafting and repairs.
An essence purchase or repair you intend to fund.
Open inventory and sort or review items you have in multiples.
Compare each candidate against your active crafting plans, building needs, and repair needs.
Select one genuinely surplus item and inspect its available context actions.
Choose the Essence extraction action and confirm the item will be consumed.
Check the essence tier and amount returned in your inventory.
Repeat with other expendable items only while you still have a useful surplus.
Spend the essence on the repair or progression purchase you identified before extracting more.
Farming tips
Duplicates and obsolete equipment are safer candidates than rare materials with no easy replacement.
Keep a reserve for recipes that use raw resources, even if refined items appear more convenient to extract.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat whenever inventory has new surplus. This is a finite conversion loop: it cannot produce essence without consuming eligible items, and the output depends on the item and realm tier.
Common mistakes
Extracting a scarce crafting input: reserve recipe ingredients before selecting candidates.
Assuming every item yields the same tier: check returned essence details and your target need.
Bulk-consuming without a plan: extract in small batches and stop when the purchase is funded.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the intended repair or unlock is funded, or when the remaining candidates are reserved for crafting and replacement costs.
