Where to farm
The specific mission or side quest listed as a completion-reward source for your target Smithing Text.
Some Smithing Texts come from completing a named mission or side quest, rather than from a chance-based boss drop. This route applies only when the desired text’s entry identifies that activity as a completion reward. Match the exact item to its source, finish the listed activity, then check the Blacksmith’s Forge menu. Smithing Texts permanently unlock their recipes, so a confirmed unlock ends the farm. If the entry names a boss drop, use that boss’s repeatable route instead.
Choose a weapon or armor recipe you have not unlocked.
Find its exact entry and verify that a named mission or side quest gives the text as a completion reward.
Unlock that activity and have access to the Eternal Rift Blacksmith to check the recipe afterward.
Open the Forge menu and check that the target recipe is still unavailable.
Find the exact item in the Smithing Text locations list; record the named activity and confirm the source is a completion reward, not a boss drop.
Select that mission or side quest from the mission menu. Make sure it is the named activity, not a similarly titled challenge.
Complete the activity and claim its completion rewards before leaving.
Return to the Eternal Rift and open the Blacksmith’s Forge menu.
Locate the target item and confirm its recipe is available. If you want to craft it, gather the displayed materials and Gold, then forge it.
Farming tips
Use the source type attached to the exact item: a mission reward and a boss’s chance-based drop require different routes.
Check the Forge after claiming the reward. A recipe check prevents unnecessary repeat clears.
Repeat, collect and use
Limited: the completion reward is a one-time unlock per character. Repeat only if you did not claim the reward or the recipe remains unavailable after checking the target entry. Once unlocked, switch to another recipe or collect the materials needed to forge this one.
Common mistakes
Farming the named boss when the text is a mission reward: complete the listed mission or side quest instead.
Assuming every Challenge Mission grants a text: target only the activity named for your desired item.
Leaving without confirming the unlock: check the Forge before deciding whether another clear is needed.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the desired recipe appears in the Forge. If it does not, verify the item’s exact source and reward type before repeating or changing routes.
