WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Unlocked allotment patches around Gielinor.

Allotments provide a recurring crop cycle: plant seeds, let the crop grow, then return to harvest produce and experience. You can visit nearby patches during the same trip, but the allotment remains the main target. Compost can support the crop, while your Farming level and patch access determine which seeds you can use.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Farming level for the chosen allotment seed.
  • Seeds, a spade and seed dibber for the patches you plan to use.
  • Compost if desired, plus travel items for the route.
  1. Choose an allotment crop that matches your Farming level and the purpose of the harvest.
  2. Visit an accessible allotment patch and harvest a mature crop if one is ready.
  3. Plant the selected seed and apply compost if desired.
  4. Complete the patch interaction before leaving for the next destination.
  5. Leave the crop to grow rather than waiting at the patch.
  6. Return after the growth cycle, collect the produce and replant if you want another harvest.

Farming tips

  • Choose crops based on whether you want produce or Farming experience; no one choice suits every account.
  • Group nearby patch visits to reduce travel, while keeping track of what each patch contains.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat after each crop growth cycle. An allotment cannot produce another harvest immediately after planting.

Common mistakes

  • Planting without checking your Farming level; select an eligible seed.
  • Expecting an instant second harvest; return after the crop has grown.
  • Leaving tools or compost behind; pack the supplies before starting.

When to stop or switch

Stop after ready allotments are harvested and replanted, or when the remaining travel is not worthwhile for your goal.
