WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Flower patches visited alongside allotment patches around Gielinor; use a location where you can reach both parts of your route.

A flower patch can support an allotment run when you plant a flower that protects the crop in the nearby allotment. For example, marigolds protect onions, potatoes and tomatoes from disease. The flower and allotment remain separate patches: plant and harvest each one on its own cycle. This route is useful when you already visit the allotment and want to include its compatible flower pairing.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Farming level to plant the chosen flower and allotment crops.
  • Matching flower seeds and allotment seeds, such as marigold and onion seeds.
  • Spade, seed dibber and travel access to the paired patches.
  1. Choose an allotment crop that matches a flower’s protection effect; marigolds pair with onions, potatoes or tomatoes.
  2. Bring both seed types and plan to visit the nearby allotment and flower patches in the same run.
  3. At the allotment, harvest a mature crop if ready and prepare the patch for its next planting.
  4. Plant the selected allotment crop, then travel to its paired flower patch.
  5. Harvest a mature flower if available, clear the patch and plant the matching flower seed.
  6. Return after the growth cycle to harvest each patch separately; replant the pairing if you are continuing the run.

Farming tips

  • Plant the flower that matches the allotment crop; a flower patch does not protect every crop indiscriminately.
  • Include both patches in an existing route so the support planting does not require a dedicated trip.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the paired plantings when you revisit after their growth cycles. Harvesting either patch does not immediately reset the other one.

Common mistakes

  • Planting an unrelated flower and assuming it protects the allotment; match the flower to the crop first.
  • Treating the two patches as one crop; harvest and replant each separately.
  • Returning immediately for another harvest; crops need time to mature.

When to stop or switch

Stop after harvesting and resetting the paired patches you can reach, or drop the flower planting from the route if you are no longer growing a crop it protects.
