Bristle Blossom is a domestic food crop with a more involved setup than Mealwood. It needs water irrigation and bright light, in addition to a suitable temperature and atmosphere. A Hydroponic Farm can provide irrigation, subject to the plant’s building restrictions. Harvest the Bristle Berries and send them to food storage or the colony’s chosen meal preparation route.

Select a room where temperature can remain between 5 and 30 °C and pressure between 150 g and 10 kg.

Farming tips
Hydroponic Farms are research-gated, so use a compatible alternative until you have unlocked and built them.
Lighting the room is only useful if the plant itself receives more than 200 lux; verify at crop level.
Repeat, collect and use
Harvest and replant as long as seeds, water, light, and suitable environmental conditions are maintained. Collect each berry harvest for food use and keep the irrigation line supplied between harvests.
Common mistakes
Installing plants in a dim area; move or improve the light source until the plant receives over 200 lux.
Connecting irrigation but overlooking temperature or pressure; the crop status panel reports other unmet needs.
Treating a Hydroponic Farm as universally compatible; confirm the species can use the selected building.
When to stop or switch
Build more plants only when the water and lighting load fits your colony’s supply. Switch to a less demanding food crop if irrigation or light is limiting other essential systems.
