Before you go Craft and equip a Belt with Smoke Bombs. Check the target bug’s region and any listed time condition. Carry enough bombs and inventory space for the search. Select a target bug and confirm its listed region and active time conditions. Travel to the matching Kilima or Bahari habitat rather than searching both regions at random. Move carefully through the area and watch for the target’s path. Throw Smoke Bombs toward the bug, adjusting aim as it moves. Approach and collect it when stunned. Check the catch for collection or request value and set aside starred specimens. Use extra catches for current wants or other intended uses after protecting needed specimens. Farming tips Carry a buffer of bombs before looking for a rare target so a long search does not end early. If the target is absent, verify its habitat and conditions before spending more supplies. Repeat, collect and use Repeat searches as needed; a target’s availability depends on its listed region and conditions, so catches are not guaranteed.
Common mistakes Searching outside the target’s biome or time: check its listing first. Throwing bombs from too far away or after the bug has moved: aim along its current path. Using a starred specimen without checking collection needs: reserve it until those goals are met. When to stop or switch Stop when you have the requested or collection amount, or leave and return when the target’s listed conditions are not active.
