Unlock Species-Specific Pal Gear Recipes
Pal Gear Workbench at your base, after registering the matching Pal in the Paldeck.
Before you go
- A Pal Sphere suitable for capturing the species you want to register.
- Access to the target Pal and equipment for the encounter.
- A Pal Gear Workbench at your base.
- Storage for the materials shown in the matching gear recipe.
Farming steps
- Choose the Pal whose partner equipment you want and check that you have a suitable Sphere and encounter gear.
- Find and capture that Pal, then confirm it has been registered in your Paldeck.
- Return to your base and open the Pal Gear Workbench.
- Look for the recipe associated with the registered species and read its complete ingredient list.
- Write down or remember the listed materials; recipe requirements can differ between species.
- Gather or craft the displayed ingredients, storing them together so they are ready for the gear recipe.
- Return to the workbench, select the matching gear, and craft it if you have the required materials.
- Inspect the workbench after each new capture; the recipe list is the practical way to confirm that registration unlocked the intended gear.
- Keep a separate materials buffer for the target recipe so those items are not consumed by unrelated crafting.
Repeat, collect and use
Recipe discovery is a one-time unlock for each matching species registration. Repeat the capture-and-check process for other species whose gear you want; crafting the equipment is a separate materials loop.
Common mistakes
- Expecting gear recipes to be universal: check the recipe tied to the specific registered Pal.
- Gathering materials before checking the bench: inspect the recipe first and use its displayed list as your target.
- Assuming a capture immediately crafts the gear: registration unlocks the recipe, but you still need to supply its listed materials.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the intended species’ recipe is visible and its gear is crafted, or switch to capturing another species if you want to unlock a different gear recipe.
