Polymer from High Quality Pal Oil

Before you go
- High Quality Pal Oil from wild Dumud or a Ranch-assigned Dumud.
- A Production Assembly Line or other station that offers Polymer.
- The other ingredients displayed in the current Polymer recipe.
- Storage near the production station for oil and finished Polymer.
Farming steps
- Open the Polymer recipe at the production station and note its oil needs and other inputs.
- Choose a supply route: visit Twilight Dunes or Dry Sandy Beach, or assign Dumud to a Ranch.
- For field supply, prepare for the desert, find Dumud, and defeat or capture it.
- Collect the oil drop and continue among encounters if an immediate larger stock is needed.
- For Ranch supply, keep Dumud assigned and provide accessible storage and transport.
- Move oil into a dedicated chest near the production station and gather the remaining recipe ingredients.
- Queue a Polymer batch sized to your current crafting goal and avoid draining other reserves.
- Collect the finished Polymer and store it with advanced crafting materials.
- Keep an oil reserve for other planned uses if your recipes call for it.
- Confirm the Ranch worker is Dumud or Dumud Gild, both of which may produce High Quality Pal Oil.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable: field Dumud can be hunted again and Ranch-assigned Dumud periodically supplies oil. Polymer is made in batches and consumes recipe inputs.
Common mistakes
- Expecting Polymer as a direct Pal drop: collect High Quality Pal Oil, then craft it.
- Starting a batch with oil but missing another input: inspect the full recipe before queueing.
- Assuming an unverified Ranch worker will produce the intended item: confirm its species and output.
When to stop or switch
Stop oil runs when the Polymer batch and any other planned oil reserve are covered; resume when the next recipe needs more.
