Expedition encounters combine a planning puzzle with a vendor loop. Place explosives across marked rewards while reading Remnant modifiers, defeat the excavated enemies, collect artifacts, and spend the appropriate stock at a vendor such as Tujen.
Before you go Complete Act X and unlock Atlas maps. Have a build that can handle the encounter's monsters and avoid disabling modifiers. Know which artifact types are needed for the vendor you plan to visit. Inspect the Expedition site and identify artifact markers, reward markers, and Remnants. Read Remnant modifiers before placing explosives, screening out effects that counter your build. Place the explosive chain to cover valuable markers without taking unacceptable modifiers. Detonate the chain and defeat the released monsters. Collect artifacts and other rewards from the excavated encounter. Visit Tujen and inspect his current offers for useful currency or materials. Haggle only on offers that fit your budget and upgrade plan. Farming tips Explosives can activate Remnants, so account for their modifiers before committing to a chain. Tujen's stock changes through play; plan around offers you actually see, not a fixed shopping list. Repeat, collect and use Expedition encounters can be repeated while available; artifact stock is spent on offers and replenished through further encounters.
Common mistakes Detonating a Remnant that grants an immunity your build cannot overcome; read it before placing explosives. Chaining every marker without a plan; prioritize the rewards and artifacts you need. Spending artifacts on unwanted offers; keep a target budget and wait for useful inventory. When to stop or switch Stop spending when you have the currency or material budget for your next upgrade, then resume farming only if another purchase goal remains.
