Maven invitations
Maven's Beacon, using an invitation after the listed bosses have been witnessed.
Before you go
- Unlock Maven witnessing and the relevant Atlas progression.
- Complete the witness requirements shown for the invitation.
- Prepare a character for a multi-boss encounter.
Farming steps
- Open the invitation in your inventory and read its displayed witness requirement.
- Check the Atlas or invitation tracker to confirm the required bosses have been witnessed.
- Improve defenses and damage for the invitation's area and modifiers.
- Travel to Maven's Beacon and use the invitation to open the encounter.
- Enter the Crucible and defeat the gathered bosses while managing overlapping attacks.
- Collect the encounter rewards after the fight.
- Continue the Maven questline or gather witnesses for another invitation.
- A group fight can be harder than the same bosses separately; manage space and avoid being surrounded.
- Check the current invitation text rather than relying on remembered boss counts.
Repeat, collect and use
Some invitations can be run again when another is obtained and requirements are met; quest progression and specific invitation availability may be limited.
Common mistakes
- Using the invitation before its witness requirements are complete; verify the tracker first.
- Entering with defenses suited only to mapping; prepare for boss mechanics.
- Assuming all invitations have identical requirements; read each item.
When to stop or switch
Stop after completing the intended invitation reward or quest step; switch to witness collection or character upgrades before another attempt if needed.
