Expedition Logbooks
Logbooks obtained from Expeditions or acquired from Dannig, opened through the Expedition interface.
Before you go
- Complete Act X and unlock Expedition access.
- Have a Logbook and a character ready for its area modifiers.
- Bring a build that can handle the encounter density.
Farming steps
- Inspect the Logbook's area, faction, and modifiers before opening it.
- Choose a book whose danger and reward markers suit your build and objective.
- Enter through the Expedition interface and locate the marker clusters.
- Read Remnants and screen out modifiers that invalidate your defenses or damage.
- Place explosives across useful markers, including boss-marked areas only if prepared.
- Defeat the excavated monsters and any boss encounter you triggered.
- Collect artifacts and take them to the vendor whose stock you want to use.
- The map's Remnant effects can compound across an explosive chain; assess the whole route first.
- Do not treat a boss marker as mandatory when the modifiers make the Logbook unsafe.
Repeat, collect and use
Logbooks are repeatable while you have more to run; each opened book is consumed, and boss availability depends on its markers.
Common mistakes
- Choosing a high-risk Logbook without reading modifiers; select a safer book or improve the build first.
- Skipping artifact collection after combat; gather the vendor currency before leaving.
- Assuming every Logbook contains a boss; check its markers and layout.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the vendor artifacts or boss progression meet your goal, or when the next Logbook's modifiers exceed your current capacity.
