Maven-witnessed map bosses
Eligible Atlas maps opened through the Map Device with Maven witnessing active.
Before you go
- Unlock Maven witnessing through Atlas progression.
- Have eligible maps with natural bosses available.
- Use a build able to defeat the selected map bosses.
Farming steps
- Open the Atlas and identify a map whose boss can count toward a Maven invitation.
- At the Map Device, select Maven witnessing for that map if the option is available.
- Open the map and clear a route to its natural boss.
- Defeat the natural boss while Maven witnessing is active.
- Check Atlas or invitation progress to verify the witness was recorded.
- Repeat with other eligible bosses required by the invitation.
- Use the completed invitation at Maven's Beacon when ready to progress to the group fight.
- Extra monsters or added boss encounters do not substitute for the map's natural boss witness.
- Choose maps with bosses your character can handle consistently.
Repeat, collect and use
Witness credit is limited to the required distinct bosses for an invitation; repeat the collection cycle for additional eligible invitations when available.
Common mistakes
- Forgetting to activate witnessing before opening the map; check the Map Device settings first.
- Defeating only an added encounter; kill the natural map boss for witness credit.
- Repeating an already witnessed boss when distinct bosses are needed; track invitation requirements.
When to stop or switch
Stop collecting witnesses when the intended invitation is complete, then decide whether your character is ready to run its boss group.
