Before you go
- A baited cage trap and bait valid for rabbits in the current save.
- A live rabbit catch, if one occurs.
- An enclosure and animal-care supplies indicated in-game.
- A safe route and storage for food or manure.
Farming steps
- Check the current trapping recipe and confirm a cage trap suitable for live rabbit capture.
- Choose a safe rural trap site near suitable cover or animal signs and mark a check route.
- Use bait accepted for the trap, then check it regularly so a live catch is not left unattended.
- If a live rabbit is captured, transport it safely to a prepared enclosure; do not assume every catch is alive.
- Inspect the animal’s care interaction and provide the indicated food, water, and pen conditions.
- Check the pen on a routine visit for offspring or other outputs shown in your save.
- Collect available manure for the composter and process any food output before spoilage.
- Use the capture method and function supported by the current game; a snare and a live-capture cage trap are not interchangeable.
- Treat breeding as a long-term possibility, not an immediate or guaranteed food supply.
